How to enable DNN Site Log

It seems to be very simple thing to do, because the old version of DNN has default set it to be enabled. But it was not enabled since 1 year ago. And I have problem finding where to set it one day when I want to have it.

I always saw "Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log History Feature", so I try to change the host settings to enable it, but it never actually work.

Finally I was comparing the settings of my old site and the new site, and find the setting for it is in "Site Settings", "Advanced Settings", "Host Settings", "Site Log History", change it to anything not 0 will enable the site log for you site.

Hope it will help someone else who has the same trouble finding it.

I cannot find this. I don't have Host settings under Advanced. Is there another way?

yeah... in the newst version of DNN you can enable site log
in "Site Settings", "Advanced Settings", "Other Settings", "Site Log History"

Thank you for the help, but unfortunatelly I do no have that. Under "Other settings" i have:

Administrator:
Default Language:
Portal TimeZone:

I don't know if that helps?

You will also have to make sure that Site Log Storage under Host Settings -> Other Settings is set to Database instead of File System.

You have to do this in both Host and Admin settings while you're logged in as Host/Superuser. In the Admin settings it's burried way at the bottom. You just enter the amount of days to keep log entries.

When I am accessing site log page, message showing--"Your Hosting Provider Has Disabled the Site Log Viewer Feature For Your Portal. The Logs can be viewed offline and are available in the \Logs\ subfolder of your Portal's Home Directory." also the display button is not showing on that page.I have read topics in ur site related to that issue but didnt get the solution.the only thing is how can that "display" button is visible?

I have followed all instructions here to no avail.

I always get "No records were found". Its like its simply not updating the database. I do have the storage set to database, and site history set to 30 days. what else could I be missing? I am on dnn 5.1
